Spoiler -- possible theory. . .OK - Starbuck is not a Cylon. Instead I think she is going to be revealed as an angel, ala the OBG's "Beings of Light"... I had to refresh my memory about the story line, but on Wikipedia I found this snipet that makes me think this is exactly what is going on: "At the end of the series as produced the fate of Starbuck remains unknown, and on that melancholy note the episode, and the series, end. A follow-on episode The Wheel of Fire was scripted but the series was cancelled before the episode was produced. The script for the Wheel of Fire reveals that Starbuck is eventually rescued from the planet by the inhabitants of the Ship of Lights and became one of them; the entire affair had been set up by the Ship's crew as a test of Starbuck's worthiness" I think Starbuck crashed on the planet, was rescued by the "angels" and was tested. She was transformed into one of them (her ship is white, she has a white light on her face in many scenes making her look "angelic") and sent back in order to steer the BG to the planet that the Beings of Light want them on. Forgive me again for cribbing from Wikipedia, but for clarity on the Angels' motives" "... the Galactica and its fleet blundered into the midst of some kind of supernatural war between the forces of Good and the forces of Evil, which appears to have been using lesser beings (such as humans and Cylons) as pawns. The forces of Evil (presumably another group of Seraphs, though this is not explicitly made clear) were revealed to have meddled with the Cylons 1000 years earlier" So much of this series does mimic the storylines from the OBG that I can't imagine the writers are not planning on incorporating the "Angels" somehow. The minute I saw Starbuck in the viper, with that "glow" I said "Angel!!" Now the question is, why do the Angels want the BG to go to this "Earth"? Is it really to lead them to their end? Is it so there can be a final war between the Cylons and the Colonial fleet and one species will be eradicated? If the Angels did indeed "meddle" in the Cylon's evolution, could they infact be the "creators" of the human model Cylons? Sooo many questions.. please, forgive me really long post!
